  • Al you hurry up and get better .My son Vincent who attends Coral Springs Middle is a big fan of yours and loves watching you play.

Rest up and be ready for the playoffs. Wishing you the best.

  • Hey man, best of luck to you. You’ve been nothing but a tough, physical, shutdown corner since you got here, and every Packer fan appreciates what you did for this organization.

I sincerely hope you can come back from this, but if in fact you don’t, please know you had an amazing career. Only going to one pro bowl is a joke. Stay strong, and give Tramon Williams some tips.

  • Hey Al, best of luck in your recovery and Packer nation loves you, alot. I hope to see you on the field again this year but if not, I know you’ll be the Packers biggest supporter on the sideline. Again, we love you Al and you are in all our prayers.

  • Mr. Harris,

Its always fun to watch you play. Believe it or not, me and my boys always watch you manhandle the best wideouts in the game week in and week out. You are a soldier, and a hell of a football player. The Green Bay defense is worse without you on the field, but none of that matters at this moment.

Get well. Stay up. Packer Nation loves and appreciates you.

  • Hey Al, you’re in my prayers,man.

Get well soon, and go get ‘em, 31!

  • Al,

I love watching you play, your fire your effort, your talent. Hang in there, we all love you man.

Thank you for picking off Matt Hasselback in the WC game. One of the happiest moments of my life.

You are one of the best – both on and off the field, and for this, I thank you.

    Paramveer

  • Good luck man! We will miss your physical prescence on the field every sunday. I hope to see you back out there.

  • 3irty-One! Stay up man I know it’s tough but I loved it when the Packers stole you from the Eagles. Way things go, looks like putting the hammer down stole you away from us for awhile. Talk to Leroy on that, he knows. Be positive stuff happens for some kind of reason though its unknown to us as of now. Hope to see you recovered soon and look to see you helping those young guys along like Taylor and Vincent did for you. Take care and you are in my prayers- Godspeed and many happy returns!

  • Mr. Harris,

I hope you recover from your injury quickly, you’re one of my favourite players to watch on the Pack – it won’t be the same on gamedays without seeing you and your amazing dreads on the field! I hope you get well soon and can get back to shutting down the elite. Thanks for all the great memories you’ve already given me and I’m hoping for more.

“Even the greatest gotta suffer sometimes.”

  • Hey Al, you’ve been my favorite player for about 6 years now. It really sucks that this happened. I hope u get well soon. I love kickin ass at madden with you. get well man.

  • Al,
Good luck with your horrible injury. No doubt, the Pack will miss you and your NFL Best, bump n’ runcoverage. Your in my thoughts and prayers. Get better fast, but do it properly, don’t rush to get back onto the field. Your health is first. Get better #31.

  • Get better #31, always in our prayers.

  • Get well soon Al. You’re my favorite cornerback in the NFL. Always physical and making it tough for receivers. GB supports you!

  • Hope you get better soon Al, know that Packer Nation is behind you and praying for you!!!

  • ~Al

Its gonna be weird not to see those dreeds and #31 not out there this week agaisnt the Bucs. Im a Packer fan and I live in Tampa and have tickets to the game and im not gonna get to see you. The Packers are gonna miss your physical style and your hard nosed play. Remeber to get well and get back on the field ASAP because were gonna need you in the playoffs.

  • Al Harris, you’re a beast. I love watching you play every week and it’ll be rough if I have to watch the rest of the season without you, but I know you’re going to be there for the team.

Get well and get back out on the gridiron! I’m praying for you

  • Hey Al, Footballs Future is really pulling for you; remember how dedicated the Packer’s fanbase is to its players, you’ve most definitely earned their support.

  • Get well soon Al! Your in all the Packer fans prayers, your leadership the whole time you have been on this team has been nothing short of inspiring!

  • Al,

Just wanted to let you know you’ve been a fan favorite and your efforts do NOT go un-noticed by many. Our crew at Footballs Future have been touting your abilities for years!

I really hope I can see 31 on the field again soon! Get well, heal quickly, fire everyone up. I really want to see you get that Super Bowl you deserve!

  • Thank you for everything you have done for us all, you will always go down in infamy from the Seattle OT game. We expect you back to help us win a ring next year and ensure you earn your spot in the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame.

Best of luck with everything that happens for you. Our prayers are with you.

  • 31.

Work your ass off, because your a Green Bay Packer for life and we want you here this year and next.

  • Dear Al,

I hope you get better soon! You are my favorite packer player. The fact that you could be out for the season, possibly career, is horrible for the entire Packers organization. I respect you as a player, you bring class and respect to the NFL.

Thank you, Al, for being who you are, and for contributing to the Packers organization.

    Your Friend,

    Brant McCarville

  • Heal up. You do some great work on the field. I’ve enjoyed watching you play. Good Luck with your recovery.

  • Al, get well soon. In my opinion you are one of the best corners to have ever played in the NFL, not just for the Packers.

I think with your toughness you will cut the recovery time in half.

I’m looking forward to seeing you on the field soon.

  • Al…

Admire your desire to continue playing last night but screw football…this is about your health. We don’t understand you are real people under that uniform you put on for our enjoyment. You were worth the draft pick and the money given to you and then some.

I hope you retire from the game…you’ve given it so much and now it’s time for you to pursue other things. Perhaps, you could become a coach for us down the road when you get better.

God Bless…Thanks for the memories… I will NEVER forget watching you from a casino in Vegas take Hasselbeck and his “we’re going to score” routine to the house for the victory in the playoffs.

  • Thanks Al for everything you’ve given of yourself to the Packers organization and especially the fans. You’re a class act, and paired with Charles are one of the best CB pairs in the NFL. Hopefully you recover 100% and speedy, for your own sake, not necessarily the teams sake.

All of us out here watching each and every packer game wish you well. Thanks for everything you’ve put into the organization. You’re a class act and a born leader by example.

Oh, and thanks for proving Matt Hasselbeck wrong a few years back…”we want the ball and we’re going to score.”

You’ll always be # (thirty) 1 in our hearts.

  • Hey Al, best of luck to you and hope you have a speedy recovery. You’ve been my favorite player since you came to the Packers, won’t be the same without you, man.

Good luck to you, hope to see you out there again soon.

  • Hey man, I just want to say I think you’re awesome. You’ve always been one of the best corners in the league in my opinion, you’ve shut down so many top men it ain’t even funny.
Keep the faith man, everybody who loves the Green & Gold is rooting for you. Good luck and I hope to see you on the field again soon!

  • Al, it’s been awesome watching you play with the Pack. Thank you for your hard work and dedicating your talent and fire to our team! Much respect for you here. Hoping and praying for your health and recovery.

  • Dude you are the most amazing CB ever and i love you i have pictures of you all my computer and i love your hair. Favorite Packer of all time baby 31 the dirty one we are so retiring 31.

I just heard you could have a ruptured spleen and i wish you the best of luck. This sounds really ugly and i hope that you are avaiable for late in the season when we get to beat those damn cowboys again. Good luck best of wishes Al. If you ever feel down just remember all of us here bc we dont care about anything but you and your injury.

  • Hey Al all of Packer nation wishes you a speedy recovery and hopes to see you in uniform again as soon as possible.

You are one of the best corner there is and watching you play with such passion and heart is truly a joy. Get better and give Tramon Williams some tips please :)

  • Hey Al, please get well soon you are a very valuable piece to the Green Bay Packers and are one of the best corners in the NFL, please get well soon and hopefully you will be back on the field next year, you are one of my favorite players in the NFL!

  • Al,

Just want to say that you have been one of my favorite Packers since you joined the team. You have done nothing but give it your all on the field and for this I thank you. Even if this turns out to have been your last game, you certainly have had a great career and will always be a Packer.

    Get well soon,

    Michael

  • Al I hope you get well soon ASAP the NFL wont be the same without a Bump and Run corner like you. You define bump n run. You given so much to the Packers organization. I hate to see you get hurt. I wish you a fast speedy recovery. FEAR THE DREADS!!!

  • You are the toughest SOB on the Pack, and that’s saying something. Get well soon! We need your INTs for TDs!

  • Hey Al,

Don’t let this injury get you down, you’re still one of the best and every football fan knows it. It’s gonna be rough not seeing #31 in the defensive backfield but I hope you come back same as old: bumpin’ n runnin’!

    j-mak

  • Al Harris,
Man I have been a cheesehead all my life and when you came to Green Bay, it just thrilled me even more. You helped amp that defense into the physical terror it is now. I hope you defy the odds and heal up so that you are back on that field bustin some receivers up. I wish you the best and 31 is in my prayers until you are back out there!

  • Hey Al, you’re as good of a CB as we’ve ever had in Green Bay, and I appreciate everything you’ve given to this team and this organization. I hope that no matter the situation, you recover fully, and I hope that everything goes well. I’m hoping and praying that you’ll come through this, and I look forward to seeing you on the field again. You’re just too damn tough to keep down.

P.S.-If you have to miss time, please give Wood some tips, you know he needs them. Oh, and T-Will, Blackmon, Lee, and Bush, because you have a lot to teach, and I know that you can help make them better. Get well soon, and my family and I will keep you in our prayers.

  • Al I hope you the speediest of recoveries. I heard some glum news about your injury and it sounds like you’ll be out the rest of the season. It hurts us Packer fans to know a player as good as you won’t be in there, and we know you’re hurting even more. Most of all we hope football aside, you recover fully and quickly from what sounds to be a very serious injury.

  • good luck with the recovery Al, hope you’ll be doin alright…hopefully we’ll see you back on the field chucking receivers to the ground yet in 2008…take care

  • Al,

Get better your a great player and I hope the best for you. Football should be the last thing on your mind right now. Your health is much more important. Get well soon!!

  • Al,

You are one of the best press corners in the NFL and I hope all Packers fans get to watch you and Charles dominate for a few more years. I still get goosebumps watching you run back that pick against Seattle. God bless, Packer nation will be praying for you. Get well soon!!!

  • May God bless you on your way to a speedy recovery, a return to the field, and a rewarding life after football.

  • You brought an excitement to the defense not seen since LeRoy Butler, and I’m honored to watch you wear the Green and Gold. Get better soon, Al, it really IS an empty backfield without you there!

  • Get better soon Al, thanks for all the memories you’ve provided us. I’ll never forget the pick 6 in OT against Seattle.

  • i don’t know if you’ll ever actually be able to see this… i hope so.
i hope things go smooth for you, i really do. hearing about players in the nfl go through tough problems like this is always a scary thing to hear, and is a good reminder of how much the sport really can wear down the human body, even in the fittest of players.
in my eyes you are definitely among the fittest and best. i really hope your recovery goes smoothly, because not having you around would be tragic. you have made the defensive game so much more interesting to watch and learn about.
from a packer fan since birth to a packer for life and beyond. you rock and i send you the best wishes i can. thanks for the memories al.

  • AL,

#31 was always the number I wanted in youth sports. There’s something about that number!

Hmmm. Maybe Greatness? This no-name Miles whoever would not have caught 2 lucky touchdowns if you were in there.
    Heal up. Praying for you!

  • Get well big dawg, we NEED you out there! get better!!!!

  • Al,
Huge Packer fan from NY, travel to 4 or 5 games a year at Lambeau, always enjoy your toughness and stellar play and attitude. From the moment you arrived you gave us the leadership and great play we were lacking in the secondary. The pick against the seahwaks ranks among my favorite Packer moments of all-time…CLUTCH!!! Sorry I wont see you back there in 2 weeks when i come for the falcons game. Praying for a speedy recovery, get back soon, Go Pack Go!!!
    Ed

  • Have been a fan of yours sence your days in Philly. Love the way you play football and wish you a speedy recovery. GB will be lacking a not only a physical, reliable corner, but also one of it’s cornerstones of their defense. Without you, the D doesn’t work. I wish I could get my high school DBs to play the press and man like you do. Get well soon!

    -Scott

  • Sorry to hear about the injury. Don’t do yourself anymore harm please, we all know your a competitor and no one in the pack organization needs you to prove your toughness. Healing something this serious is crucial, good luck with the recovery and look forward to seeing you doing your thing whenever your better

  • Dr. Joshua Cleveland

    Hey Al,

It was great meeting you this weekend with (officer) Jeff ( from Florida). Thank you so much for your hospitality.

As I watched you go down, holding your flank, I knew it was a nasty injury. If I can give one piece of advice…..let this heal now and play for a long time. If you push it and reinjure, you may not be so lucky. Our prayers are with you and if you need anything from a medical standpoint, please dont hesitate to contact Jeff and get in touch. God bless.

    Dr. Joshua Cleveland

  • Al,

P.S. You were AWESOME in the Pro Bowl Last Year!! Congratulations!!!!! It was well deserved!

  • Al,
Love your dedication, playing through injuries, and I also love watching those dreads fly as you shut down the “unstoppable” wide receivers. With this injury, though, just take the time to let it heal. If you get bored during your recovery, maybe you can stop in the locker room and terrorize the media? I love that…

    Wishing you pain-free healing,
    MJ

  • Get well soon. You are a cog of the Packers. It wont be the same without #31 out there so get better, ya hear?

  • Damn Al….
You are a rock; You’ve been huge for the team and to the fans for so long now!
I don’t think any Packer fans thought this could happen to you!
Keep your chin up and get healthy….we wanna see you play ’til your Forty!

  • It’s going to be different not seeing you out there on Sundays. This seems like one hell of an injury man, but you’re a fighter and you’ll make it out alright. Any chance you’ll be ready by the playoffs? That’s what we’re all pulling for!

Get well soon, but don’t rush it, we need you healthy until your late thirties.

  • Al, my thoughts and prayers are with you. You are by far the best in the league and the game won’t be the same without you there.Take care of yourself and remember it’s your health first! Keep your chin up, get better soon…you are a very strong man and will make a speedy recovery.

Take care of yourself first and foremost. Your long term health needs to come before the team in this case. I look forward to watching you play again whenever that may be. Stay positive. You’re in my prayers.

  • Al,

Wishing you a speedy recovery, but be smart and listen to the medical advice. Playing football again too soon is not worth risking lifelong health problems.

Get Well Soon but take your time returning to the field even though we will miss you.

    Erv

  • I hope you get better soon. I appreciate everything you have done for the Pack, but be careful of your long term heath.

    Good Luck!

    Harold

  • Sorry to hear about your Injury Al, I think that was amazing that you just asked them to take it out so you could beat the Bucs. But your health is the first thing, it isn’t worth the misery as you grow older, good luck on recover and I hope to see you on the field for the playoffs.

  • Get well soon Al. You are the best bump and run corner in the league.

It’s going to be a tough time until you get better. Woodson can only do so much.

We need you man. Get better, so you can shut down wide outs for us once again.

  • take your time to get better buddy! ;)

  • I hope you feel better real soon Al. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Take good care of you =)

  • Hope you’re ok. worry about your health, then football.

  • Al,
You are by far the best coner in the NFL I Hope You get well soon so those recievers can fear the dreads again.

  • Healing is a state of mind. You must first realize that God is able. Let this take resident in your mind. THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR GOD. God never fails. This is no time to ponder, why me. No time for what ifs and pity parties. You gotta keep them dreads up. Stay positive no matter what! This too shall pass. Fight the good fight of faith. Nobody said the road to 20 yrs would be easy. You must fight to keep your mind focused on the source of which all blessings flow. Healing, is a state of mind.

  • Al-
My buddy & I have been representing the SHARP CORNERS every Sunday. I wear my C-Wood and he always sports that #31! Nobody, nobody does it like you and Charles in this league. You asking to see if you could remove the spleen and play this week comes as no surprise. You are the new Iron Man on the Packers with Brett gone.

I can’t wait to see Operation Shutdown deployed later this year. Don’t worry, the rest of the guys will step up and take us to January – just be ready to come in and make QBs pay in the postseason!!

  • Mr. Harris,

You have been my favorite player in the NFL since I started watching football. I grew up in the Philly area, so even though I’ve always been a Packer fan, I got to follow your career in Philly, too. You’re an awesome CB (the best in my opinion), but don’t rush things. I know you’re probably really anxious to play and help the team, but your health is more important in the long run. Be safe and get better soon.

    Best wishes,
    Josh Lynn

  • Hey bro I hope your doing ok. Hope everything turns out good for you, dont worry about football, Tramon needs to bust out of his shell for a little bit lol. Your the True Ironman, Brett is a legend, you havent missed a snap either. Thats too bad, hopefully you get back out on the field. That defense needs you and charles to dominate. That reggae hat is pimp bro, wear that badboy more often lol.

  • Wow 3 weeks is great news!!! Rest up buddy even 4-5 weeks would be awesome for going through the kind of thing you are. The defense needs you. So does the offense maybe you could line up and play some QB while Rodgers is out.

Good luck man again. Al harris for Hall of fame whos with me

  • Mr. Harris, best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. You are a true warrior. The Packers can use your wile and physical nature. That “attitude” that says “Not here. Now now. Not me. Ever.”

  • Good luck with your recovery. Wish you a speedy recovery. I will miss seeing you in the games.

  • Al,
Me and my mom are praying for your quick recovery. I’m only eight years old, but someday I want to play for the Packers just like you.
Hurry back, we need those picks

    Tommy.

  • Al,
I’m so sorry that you have to be sidelined but do what they tell you to. I lost my spleen in ‘84 and have never had a problem, but I followed doctor’s orders. Football is not the same without you but your health has to come first. Your the best!
    Ruth

  • Al,
You are the best in the league…take your time getting healthy…that’s the only way it will work.

  • Al,

Continue to rest and get better every day. Soon you’ll be back on the playing field and better than ever!

The Packers and all of your fans miss you, but your health come first.

Blessings for you and for your family.

  • You are fun to watch – such energy and spunk! Can’t wait to hear you’re back on the field in green and gold.
