Hey man, best of luck to you. You’ve been nothing but a tough, physical, shutdown corner since you got here, and every Packer fan appreciates what you did for this organization.
I sincerely hope you can come back from this, but if in fact you don’t, please know you had an amazing career. Only going to one pro bowl is a joke. Stay strong, and give Tramon Williams some tips.

Mr. Harris,
Its always fun to watch you play. Believe it or not, me and my boys always watch you manhandle the best wideouts in the game week in and week out. You are a soldier, and a hell of a football player. The Green Bay defense is worse without you on the field, but none of that matters at this moment.
Get well. Stay up. Packer Nation loves and appreciates you.

3irty-One! Stay up man I know it’s tough but I loved it when the Packers stole you from the Eagles. Way things go, looks like putting the hammer down stole you away from us for awhile. Talk to Leroy on that, he knows. Be positive stuff happens for some kind of reason though its unknown to us as of now. Hope to see you recovered soon and look to see you helping those young guys along like Taylor and Vincent did for you. Take care and you are in my prayers- Godspeed and many happy returns!

Al, get well soon. In my opinion you are one of the best corners to have ever played in the NFL, not just for the Packers.
I think with your toughness you will cut the recovery time in half.
I’m looking forward to seeing you on the field soon.
Posted by Unknown on September 22, 2008 at 9:47 pm
Al…
Admire your desire to continue playing last night but screw football…this is about your health. We don’t understand you are real people under that uniform you put on for our enjoyment. You were worth the draft pick and the money given to you and then some.
I hope you retire from the game…you’ve given it so much and now it’s time for you to pursue other things. Perhaps, you could become a coach for us down the road when you get better.
God Bless…Thanks for the memories… I will NEVER forget watching you from a casino in Vegas take Hasselbeck and his “we’re going to score” routine to the house for the victory in the playoffs.
Posted by Mike B. on September 22, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Thanks Al for everything you’ve given of yourself to the Packers organization and especially the fans. You’re a class act, and paired with Charles are one of the best CB pairs in the NFL. Hopefully you recover 100% and speedy, for your own sake, not necessarily the teams sake.
All of us out here watching each and every packer game wish you well. Thanks for everything you’ve put into the organization. You’re a class act and a born leader by example.
Oh, and thanks for proving Matt Hasselbeck wrong a few years back…”we want the ball and we’re going to score.”
You’ll always be # (thirty) 1 in our hearts.

Al Harris,
Man I have been a cheesehead all my life and when you came to Green Bay, it just thrilled me even more. You helped amp that defense into the physical terror it is now. I hope you defy the odds and heal up so that you are back on that field bustin some receivers up. I wish you the best and 31 is in my prayers until you are back out there!
Posted by Anthony on September 22, 2008 at 11:20 pm
Hey Al, you’re as good of a CB as we’ve ever had in Green Bay, and I appreciate everything you’ve given to this team and this organization. I hope that no matter the situation, you recover fully, and I hope that everything goes well. I’m hoping and praying that you’ll come through this, and I look forward to seeing you on the field again. You’re just too damn tough to keep down.
P.S.-If you have to miss time, please give Wood some tips, you know he needs them. Oh, and T-Will, Blackmon, Lee, and Bush, because you have a lot to teach, and I know that you can help make them better. Get well soon, and my family and I will keep you in our prayers.

Al I hope you the speediest of recoveries. I heard some glum news about your injury and it sounds like you’ll be out the rest of the season. It hurts us Packer fans to know a player as good as you won’t be in there, and we know you’re hurting even more. Most of all we hope football aside, you recover fully and quickly from what sounds to be a very serious injury.

i don’t know if you’ll ever actually be able to see this… i hope so.
i hope things go smooth for you, i really do. hearing about players in the nfl go through tough problems like this is always a scary thing to hear, and is a good reminder of how much the sport really can wear down the human body, even in the fittest of players.
in my eyes you are definitely among the fittest and best. i really hope your recovery goes smoothly, because not having you around would be tragic. you have made the defensive game so much more interesting to watch and learn about.
from a packer fan since birth to a packer for life and beyond. you rock and i send you the best wishes i can. thanks for the memories al.

AL,
#31 was always the number I wanted in youth sports. There’s something about that number!
Hmmm. Maybe Greatness? This no-name Miles whoever would not have caught 2 lucky touchdowns if you were in there.
Heal up. Praying for you!

Al, first things first. Get healthy, even if it means sitting out the rest of the season. It won’t be the same secondary without you out there!

Al,
Huge Packer fan from NY, travel to 4 or 5 games a year at Lambeau, always enjoy your toughness and stellar play and attitude. From the moment you arrived you gave us the leadership and great play we were lacking in the secondary. The pick against the seahwaks ranks among my favorite Packer moments of all-time…CLUTCH!!! Sorry I wont see you back there in 2 weeks when i come for the falcons game. Praying for a speedy recovery, get back soon, Go Pack Go!!!

Have been a fan of yours sence your days in Philly. Love the way you play football and wish you a speedy recovery. GB will be lacking a not only a physical, reliable corner, but also one of it’s cornerstones of their defense. Without you, the D doesn’t work. I wish I could get my high school DBs to play the press and man like you do. Get well soon!

Hey Al,
It was great meeting you this weekend with (officer) Jeff ( from Florida). Thank you so much for your hospitality.
As I watched you go down, holding your flank, I knew it was a nasty injury. If I can give one piece of advice…..let this heal now and play for a long time. If you push it and reinjure, you may not be so lucky. Our prayers are with you and if you need anything from a medical standpoint, please dont hesitate to contact Jeff and get in touch. God bless.

Al,
Love your dedication, playing through injuries, and I also love watching those dreads fly as you shut down the “unstoppable” wide receivers. With this injury, though, just take the time to let it heal. If you get bored during your recovery, maybe you can stop in the locker room and terrorize the media? I love that…
Wishing you pain-free healing,
MJ

It’s going to be different not seeing you out there on Sundays. This seems like one hell of an injury man, but you’re a fighter and you’ll make it out alright. Any chance you’ll be ready by the playoffs? That’s what we’re all pulling for!
Get well soon, but don’t rush it, we need you healthy until your late thirties.

No time for what ifs and pity parties. You gotta keep them dreads up. Stay positive no matter what! This too shall pass. Fight the good fight of faith. Nobody said the road to 20 yrs would be easy. You must fight to keep your mind focused on the source of which all blessings flow. Healing, is a state of mind.

Al-
My buddy & I have been representing the SHARP CORNERS every Sunday. I wear my C-Wood and he always sports that #31! Nobody, nobody does it like you and Charles in this league. You asking to see if you could remove the spleen and play this week comes as no surprise. You are the new Iron Man on the Packers with Brett gone.
I can’t wait to see Operation Shutdown deployed later this year. Don’t worry, the rest of the guys will step up and take us to January – just be ready to come in and make QBs pay in the postseason!!
Posted by Josh Lynn on September 26, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Mr. Harris,
You have been my favorite player in the NFL since I started watching football. I grew up in the Philly area, so even though I’ve always been a Packer fan, I got to follow your career in Philly, too. You’re an awesome CB (the best in my opinion), but don’t rush things. I know you’re probably really anxious to play and help the team, but your health is more important in the long run. Be safe and get better soon.
Best wishes,
Josh Lynn

That reggae hat is pimp bro, wear that badboy more often lol.

Good luck man again. Al harris for Hall of fame whos with me
